Philosophy of life ! Philosophy of world !

7214321_f520Bollywood has hundreds of great philosophical songs to its credit. I consider inspirational songs (or the songs giving hope to depressed ones) also a kind of philosophical songs only. Today I am sharing a handful out of such songs according to my choice. Naturally it’s a subjective one as everybody can make his / her own list consisting of his / her favourites.

I have not included some great songs like Mann Re Tu Kahe Na Dheer Dhare (Chitralekha – 1964), Ruk Jaana Nahin Tu Kahin Haar Ke (Imtihaan – 1974), Jo Raah Chuni Tune Usi Par Chalte Jaana Re (Tapasya – 1976), Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhaata Chala Gya (Hum Dono – 1961) and Kahaan Ja Raha Hai Tu Aye Jaane Wale (Seema – 1955) in this list because I have already covered them in my review of my most favourite Hindi movie songs. I have also not covered excellent philosophical songs like Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo (Teesri Kasam – 1966), O Nadiya Chale Chale Re Dhaara (Safar – 1970), Aadmi Musafir Hai, Aata Hai Jaata Hai (Apnapan – 1977), Ek Raasta Hai Zindagi Jo Tham Gaye To Kuchh Nahin (Kaala Patthar – 1978), Rote Huye Aate Hain Sab, Hansta Hua Jo Jaayega (Muqaddar Ka Sikandar – 1978), Aaj Ka Ye Din Kal Ban Jaayega Kal (Nastik – 1983) etc. because I have covered them in my review of journey songs from Hindi movies.
